  • Ed Carlson - Launching Pad

I thoroughly enjoy the Almanac and read it at least twice over the course of each year. But what I like even more than reading it is the data included in it which allows me to further develop my own ideas. It truly has something for everyone - novice and expert alike.

  • Amazon Customer - Middle of the road

I have mixed feelings about this item. First of all, it's not exactly a pocket knife--in fact, I had to have my trousers altered to accommodate it. Secondly, as you might expect it's quite heavy. I had it in my possession during my ill-fated attempt to re-create the Kon-Tiki expedition using a craft constructed entirely out of non-GMO tubers, when the sweet potato section of the hull failed, capsizing the boat. While I'm an excellent swimmer (see my successful backstroke crossing of the Ganges), the weight of this implement dragged me down to Davy Jone's locker. Surely I would have perished if not for being swallowed by a gigantic whale. In the belly of the beast I met an old Italian man and his strange wooden boy (I swear--if only the knife had a camera to document the encounter!) who told me the whale's name was "Monstro". I wasn't there long before it became apparent from its constant moaning that the creature was in great discomfort. Making my way up its gullet, I discovered the source of its pain: One of its incisors (or bicuspids--hell, I'm not a marine dentist!) was infected. I personally have had 5 root canal procedures (I blame poor genetics and an addiction to candy corn) so I knew what had to be done. Using the knife's chisel-point reamer and my internet acupuncture training, I deadened the tooth's nerves. Then I drilled through the enamel using the hook dis-gorger and divot repair tool. Finally, I cleaned out the infected root with the shortix laboratory key and round needle file. I filled the abscess with an amalgam of metals found in the belly (a cannon ball, a license plate, what appeared to be a lady's compact) and smoothed it with the knife's chain rivet setter. Success! In minutes the whale became animatedly pleased; so much so it began singing! During a particularly hearty aria, the three of us castaways took the opportunity to escape. Holding onto the wooden boy's long nose we floated to the surface and bobbed about. Fortunately, we were near enough to an international shipping lane that I was able to signal a passing freighter with the knife's laser pointer.

  • jamesr - Beautiful ornament. I normally buy Waterford crystal ornaments

Beautiful ornament. I normally buy Waterford crystal ornaments, but this Swarovski looks so much better. It glistens in the light, I'm actually pretty impressed with it.

  • warren11 - mini for my mini!

I think our family has now found the perfect stroller! We have "test driven" several (my poor husband), but nothing compares to the mini! It is SUPER lightweight and very smooth to push. The fold is beyond easy which was a huge selling point for me. I also love that the tires are airless - anything that makes my life easier earns major bonus points! :) My little guy loves to stroll, but usually falls asleep halfway through the ride, so I love that the seat can lay flat and there is a huge canopy to block the sun. Plus, the same great durability as all the other Mountain Buggies. Overall this stroller is a WINNER for families on the go!

  • Kevin Knill - ... view is that for $179 try and find a better more fun interactive robot

My view is that for $179 try and find a better more fun interactive robot!!! Yes there are disadvantages, you need a wifi connection and the current selection of games is small but hopefully more will be added along with other features etc. It was easy to setup and fun was had immediately. It even managed to do a face recognition of my cat (had to get the cat to stay still for more than 5 seconds however) . I would like to see eventually that multiple units can interact (interesting that they don't already as it would have pushed sales even more). Having the phone tied up with the app is required but get over it and try and live without your phone for a while ! I did get calls coming through as was able to take them OK and the robot fun continued after the call was finished. I do think they need edge sensors on side and back as I had to launch myself across the table to prevent a fall during play. Its version 1.0 so everybody needs to realize this and not get to worked up if it cant play cards with you, make the tea or take the dog for a walk. Its fun, its unique and I love it.

  • free bird - Perfect Pillow!

This pillow is amazing! It is a heavy pillow. Its very comfy and forms around your head and neck. It gives you a perfect support. This is my first memory foam pillow and i can tell you that i am hooked for sure. If your debating weather or not to spend the money or if its worth it i can tell you right now that it is. When you first get in, it comes rolled in a little bag and is pretty flat, but dont worry it fluffs up mine took about 3 hours and was mailed when it was cold and it takes longer if its cold. This is a must buy for sure! Love it!!! I did get this item at a discounted price for my unbiased review.

  • QueenEBEE - Disappointed In This Product

I DID NOT like this make up at all. It made my skin tone look orange - I used the lightest shade available because I am fair skinned but it still turned orange on me! It also has a shiny glittery effect on the skin that I hate. I have to agree with some other reviews that it does not cover flaws well either and does not stay on well for lasting coverage. I will stick with my tried and true liquid brand that has pretty much always served me well. I only tried the starter kit because I had heard so much great hype for this product, however, I was greatly disappointed in the performance and look of this make up.
